Meet Ottis

2026-190 Meet Ottis! Well, well, well… look who came back to RCHS! Ottis is a 1½-year-old, 45-ish lb Beagle mix who was actually adopted from us as a puppy. He’s back with us now and hoping his next chapter is the forever kind. Ottis is a sweet, goofy guy who loves having canine friends, is good with cats, and does well with older children. He’s got a big heart, a big personality, and—because he’s part Beagle—a BIG opinion. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily provide commentary on everything happening in the neighborhood, Ottis may be your guy! He’s still working on a few things, especially his manners. Ottis gets so excited to see people that he sometimes forgets that “four paws on the floor” is a thing and likes to jump up for greetings. He’ll need a family willing to continue working with him and help him become the polite gentleman we know he can be. Ottis can also have some anxiety when left alone and can be a little timid in his kennel. He’ll need patience, reassurance, and a family willing to help him build confidence and learn that being alone for a little while doesn’t mean he’s been forgotten.
