Meet Peanut

Gaze into the eyes of Peanut and you will see a gentle soul longing for a new home and family. He is a 3 year 6-month-old Chihuahua/mixed breed lad in need of a loving forever family to call his own. Peanut weighs 9 pounds and is a toy dog (under 10 pounds). He sports a cream-colored coat and those big eyes that look out on the world with a bit of sadness, as if he has seen enough to know he needs care and affection. Peanut does well with children and other dogs. It is not known if Peanut does well with cats. Peanut is working on his crate and leash manners but has already mastered his house training. Although Peanut is housetrained, it is important to remember that although he is housetrained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. If crate training is anticipated, Peanut will be comfortable in a small crate so long as it gives him space to lie down, stand up and turn around. Crates should never be used for punishment, should be warm and cozy dens. Open your arms wide, gather Peanut in and experience all the love and devotion this little gentleman can deliver. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Peanut is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
