Meet Peggy

Peggy is a 3.5 month old, 17 lb sweetheart who is ready to find her forever family! This little girl is wide open, social, playful, and respectful. She loves discovering new toys, happily joins in whatever is happening, and thinks everyone she meets is a potential new friend. She also does a wonderful job respecting the boundaries of the older dogs around her. Peggy is one of 5 puppies born to a 10 to 15 lb fluffy Chihuahua mix momma. Mom and her puppies spent their early days on the streets of Puerto Rico, where this little momma had the incredibly difficult job of raising five babies while trying to survive herself. We were able to bring Mom and her puppies to the mainland together. When Mom went in to be spayed, the veterinarian also discovered and removed an air pellet that had been lodged in her armpit. Despite everything this sweet girl had been through, she did an amazing job raising her babies. And it shows. Peggy and her siblings are social, loving, happy puppies who are discovering how wonderful life can be. Peggy is playful and curious, loves being part of the action, and is looking for a family who will continue helping her grow into the wonderful dog she is becoming.
