PICKLES: BIG EARS, BIG HEART, AND A FUTURE IN HOME SECURITY! Who doesn't love a good crunchy dill pickle? Well, meet Pickles, and we promise she's MUCH sweeter than the ones in your refrigerator! Pickles came from the same situation as Poppi, and sadly, her story shares some of the same heartbreaking chapters. Another girl who appears to have spent far too much of her life producing puppies while not getting nearly enough food to fill in the gaps between her ribs. These girls deserved so much better, and now it's finally their turn to be spoiled rotten. But while Poppi's superpower is her never-ending smile, Pickles has a superpower of her own: EARS. GLORIOUS. ENORMOUS. EARS. You say those aren't Shar Pei ears? Well, around here, we don't believe in body shaming. We celebrate our differences, embrace our uniqueness, and flaunt what we've got! And Pickles has got enough ear to pick up satellite radio. We're pretty sure she can hear an Amazon delivery truck three zip codes away. Speaking of Amazon deliveries, Pickles takes home security VERY seriously. Every package delivered to your front porch will be reported immediately. Porch pirates, consider yourselves warned. Pickles is on patrol, and with those ears, your neighborhood watch program just got a major upgrade. Now, let's talk about the fun stuff! Toys? YES, PLEASE! Pickles loves a good toy and will happily entertain herself with one of her favorites. Chew bones? ABSOLUTELY! She's a girl who appreciates the finer things in life. A tasty chew bone and a cozy spot to enjoy it? That's living. ‍♀️ Game of chase? SHE'S LEADING THE CHARGE! Don't let her quiet demeanor fool you. When playtime begins, Pickles is ready to clock in for her shift as Director of Zoomies. Other dogs? HER PEOPLE! Pickles, just like Poppi, absolutely adores other dogs. These girls would love a friendly canine sibling to share their adventures with. And here's where Pickles and her sister differ. Poppi is the sister who bursts through the door, introduces herself to everyone in the room, and makes sure absolutely NO ONE is unaware of her arrival. Pickles? She's the sister standing politely in the back, taking it all in. She's listening to every word, studying the situation, and patiently waiting for her turn. She's basically the introvert at the party while Poppi is working the room like a politician running for office. But don't mistake her quiet nature for a lack of personality. Pickles has plenty of opinions, and she isn't afraid to share the important ones. Especially when someone dares to leave a package unattended on the porch! Pickles is heading to the vet tomorrow for a full evaluation and entropion surgery. We'll get her checked out and make sure she's on the right path toward feeling her very best. ❤️ After everything she's been through, this girl deserves a home where her food bowl stays full, her toys are plentiful, her chew bones are delicious, and her ears are celebrated like the national treasures they are.
