Meet Pierce 2026

Little tripod PIERCE is fully recovered from his amputation surgery and is waiting for his furever home! Pierce is a sweet, affectionate boy, about 1 year old and fully grown at 15 pounds. He's a happy-go-lucky boy who spends his days charming his foster family, playing with his toys, playing with his foster siblings and just generally loving life. His 3 favorite times of day are play time, cuddle time and dinner time. Living on 3 legs doesn't slow him down a bit, he runs and plays with his foster siblings like any young dog. Pierce is a handsome mixed breed little guy, our best guess is a MinPin/Rat Terrier type mix. He navigates very well on 3 legs. Pierce is basicallly perfect, he's housebroken, crate trained and good with cats and other dogs. He needs a home with another similar-sized medium energy dog who loves to play. If you'd like to meet Pierce, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pierce at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
