Meet Piper — A Beautiful Blue-Eyed Aussie Looking for a Loving Home Beautiful Piper is an Australian Shepherd with gorgeous blue eyes and a gentle, sweet personality. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her some time and patience, and you'll see her wonderful personality begin to shine. Piper and her sister, Phoebe, found themselves in a kill shelter after their unspayed mother had an unwanted litter. Sadly, this is something that happens far too often, and these beautiful girls had no say in how their lives began. Now Piper is ready for a family who will give her the love, security, and patience she deserves. Piper enjoys going for walks and being brushed—she especially loves the one-on-one attention that comes with a good brushing session. She's perfectly comfortable with her sister Phoebe and could potentially live with another dog, provided they are a good match. However, Piper becomes frightened and overwhelmed when surrounded by large numbers of dogs, so dog parks and busy dog-filled environments would not be a good fit for her. Because Piper is still building her confidence, she would do best in a calmer home with older children who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. She could be happy as your only dog or with a compatible canine companion. Piper is a special girl who doesn't need a chaotic life—she needs a patient person who will let her blossom at her own pace.
