Meet Poor Babies : Tammy

Meet Tammy! Tammy is a young German Shepherd mix, under a year old, who has come such a LONG way! Tammy came into rescue extremely emaciated and frightened after spending much of her young life surviving on her own. Today, she is learning what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family and watching her blossom has been incredible. Tammy has decided she absolutely LOVES her foster mama and now comes looking for pets and attention. She still gets startled by some everyday noises and will retreat to her crate when she feels overwhelmed, but she's learning that she is safe. Tammy THRIVES with another playful dog! She loves having a canine friend to romp and play with, so if you're looking for a playmate for your dog, Tammy would be in seventh heaven! She's still working on potty training and leash training but does well in her crate. She does need to be fed separately right now. Tammy will need a securely fenced yard and a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time. She doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her, she needs someone who will celebrate her little victories and continue showing her that the world is a safe place. She has already come so far, and we can't wait to see where her journey takes her. Tammy is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $215. If the puppy is too young or small to be fixed there will be a $75 spay/neuter rebate form provided. They currently have at least 1 puppy shot,, flea preventative, heartworm preventative and are microchipped with lifetime registration ($13).
