Meet Poppy

Meet Poppy! Poppy is a sweet, medium-energy girl who enjoys a nice balance of playtime and relaxation. She loves romping around with her canine friend, and once they’re tuckered out, she’s perfectly content to curl up beside you for some quiet companionship. Poppy is still learning to trust new people and isn’t fully comfortable with strangers yet, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she continues to make steady, meaningful progress. She does well with both dogs and cats after she’s had time to settle in. When meeting new animals, she may initially growl or keep her distance, but with a little time to acclimate, she relaxes and often begins to play. Poppy is a very shy girl who seems to have had a difficult start. Raised voices easily scare her, and she may yelp or retreat if she feels overwhelmed. Building trust has been slow but rewarding, and Poppy will thrive with someone kind, patient, and committed to helping her feel safe and secure.
