Meet Poppy

Poppy is a 6-year-old Pointer mix who has tons of energy to run around and play, but also LOVES to snuggle. He’s very smart and eager to learn more, and he’s very food-motivated, making his training even smoother. He also has a quirky personality and is always ready to make someone laugh. He does come from a previously abusive situation before the current house he resides in, with a past history of being attacked by other dogs. He might freeze from time to time if he gets anxious, and he doesn’t particularly like loud noises or voices. Despite this, he is still very friendly with just about everyone and seems to enjoy the presence of other dogs as well as cats. He is up to date on all vaccinations, is neutered, and is also microchipped. He weighed roughly about 56 pounds when he was last weighed a few months ago, but has since put on a couple healthy pounds and is probably closer to 60 pounds. Poppy is a wonderful and sweet boy, who deserves someone with a lot more free time on their hands and yard to run around in. Please help him find his perfect home.
