Meet Poseidon - a true gentleman

Poseidon is a beautiful boy who is looking for a new home. He is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter. Meet Poseidon — a stunning, big-hearted Saint Bernard mix who is ready to find the family he’s been waiting for. This handsome hunk is about 2½ years old and currently weighs 69 pounds; we expect he’ll be around 75 pounds once he puts on a little healthy weight. Poseidon was found as a stray, and unbelievably, no one ever came looking for him. Their loss is truly someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime gain. Poseidon is as polite as he is gorgeous. He tested extremely well with other dogs, has a gentle, kind nature, and tends to be a quieter guy who doesn’t need to be the center of attention. He’s happy to peacefully coexist, take in the world around him, and be near his people. With his sweet temperament, good manners, and lovable big-dog presence, Poseidon would make an amazing family companion. He’s the kind of dog who will fill your home—and your heart—without asking for much in return besides love, a cozy place to rest, and a family of his own. Poseidon is ready to trade his stray-dog past for the safe, happy life he deserves. Could that be with you? Poseidon is neutered , microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption donation is $500. Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animal have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
