Meet Prosecco

This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 3rd from 12PM – 3PM (unless adopted prior to the event). 3910 Middlefield Road All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Adoption fee: $800 Meet Prosecco: Calm, Cozy, and Ready to Cuddle The last of the Bubbles puppies is still waiting for her forever home! Prosecco is a 12-14 week old Yorkie mix who was rescued from the shelter along with her sisters, Cava and Champagne. Both of her sisters have found their families, and now it's Prosecco's turn. She's soft, sweet, playful, and especially gifted at turning any available lap into a puppy lounge. While she may resemble a Yorkie, Prosecco is a mix rather than a purebred dog. Her adult coat type and shedding level can't be guaranteed, so she may not be suitable for people with serious dog allergies. Her soft coat will also need regular brushing and grooming as she grows. The Resident Cuddle Specialist Prosecco was always the calmest member of the trio. When her sisters wandered off in search of their next adventure, she was the one still snuggled in place. If you get up from the couch, make a quick trip to the kitchen, and come back, there's an excellent chance Prosecco will be waiting in the exact same spot. Her favorite place is curled up directly in a lap, and she'll stay there for as long as you'll let her. She still has plenty of puppy playfulness. She loves a good game of tug-of-war, although the toy is mostly an excuse to start a wrestling match. But the moment someone sits down, she switches straight into snuggle mode. A Day in the Life Prosecco sleeps in a crate and wakes around 7:45 a.m., a refreshingly civilized hour by puppy standards. She's remarkably quiet in the morning, even when she's ready to start the day. She'd rather launch directly into playtime, but her foster wisely takes her outside for a potty break first. Once that's done, the celebratory happy dance can begin. Her days are spent playing in the living room, enjoying the back porch, and looking for people who seem ready to cuddle. After an evening snuggle session on the couch, she heads back to her crate between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. and settles in for the night. Your Little Shadow Prosecco wants to be wherever her people are. She'll follow you from room to room, settle at your feet, and happily sit right on your shoes if you stand still long enough. Her future family will need to watch their step, because this tiny girl is often underfoot. Puppy Training in Progress Like all young puppies, Prosecco will need continued work on housetraining, crate training, socialization, leash skills, and basic manners. She was raised alongside her sisters, so learning to settle, play, and build confidence on her own will be an important part of her next chapter. The Last Bubbles Her sisters may have popped off to new homes first, but Prosecco has saved the best for last.
