Meet Pryor

Medium-sized, handsome, and happy as they come - that’s how we’d describe our guy, Pryor! New to The Barking Lot as of March, 2016, Pryor came to TBL from Riverside Shelter. We thought he might be shy, as new Cattle Dogs often are, but no sir - Pryor showed us that he was a happy, outgoing guy from the very second he stepped paw into TBL! At just a little over one-year-old, Pryor isn’t a puppy anymore but he definitely still has that youngin’ zest for life. He loves people and loves other dogs, and he isn’t afraid to show his excitement over either of those things. A Cattle Dog through and through, Pryor has the typical Cattle Dog “nub” tail and the beautiful Cattle Dog coloring - brown, white, and “ticked” all over (ticked is just a fancy word for spots, FYI). Pryor is not quite fully-grown at about 32 pounds, making him a perfect medium-sized pup. Pryor currently shares a kennel with two other pups, and loves to play in the play yard with his buddies. True to his breed heritage, Pryor is a smart, active guy and will need a forever family that understands the daily exercise and stimulation that a Cattle Dog needs. He would love a yard, but could do well in an urban environment, as well, as long as he is kept active! Pryor walks well on a leash, and would make an amazing hiking or jogging partner. He seems to get along with every person he meets, and would do well on social outings with his forever family.
