Peanut Butter — A Little Nugget of Puppy Love Looking for His Forever Family Peanut Butter’s story started with his beautiful momma, Biscuit, a stray who was found living in the woods and doing her best to survive by eating out of neighborhood garbage cans. Thankfully, a kind family took her in during the middle of May—and before long, they discovered that Biscuit had a very big surprise on the way! On July 11th, Biscuit welcomed 12 precious puppies into the world, and Peanut Butter was one of those special dozen. His foster mom, Celeste, loved them so much that she took an entire month off from work to stay home and care for Biscuit and all 12 of her babies. Thanks to that incredible beginning, these puppies have been surrounded by love, attention, and plenty of opportunities to learn what it means to be cared for. And now it’s Peanut Butter’s turn to find his very own family! Peanut Butter is a handsome hound mix with a fluffy, slightly wiry coat and a beautiful reddish coloring that makes him look just a little like his namesake. But it’s his personality that will really win you over. This boy is a puffball of affection who wants to be close to his people. He loves to snuggle right up against you like a cuddly little bear, and when he’s especially happy, he may even give you a few gentle love nibbles. He is the kind of puppy who makes you smile just by looking at him. He’s playful and curious like any young puppy, but he also has a wonderfully affectionate side that makes him perfectly happy to settle in for some one-on-one attention. Peanut Butter is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family who is excited about all the fun that comes with raising a puppy—the playtime, the exploring, the learning, the puppy kisses and, of course, a little bit of puppy mischief along the way. He had a wonderful start surrounded by his momma, siblings and a foster family who went above and beyond for this special dozen. Now he just needs someone to look into those sweet eyes and realize that this little hound mix is exactly the puppy they've been waiting for. Peanut Butter is ready for adoption now.
