Meet Ranger Three years old. Fifty-five pounds. Countless days spent waiting for someone to choose him. Ranger is a stunning Siberian Husky with a heart as big as his personality. If you're looking for a dog who will be your hiking buddy, running partner, road trip companion, and biggest fan, Ranger is ready to pack his bags. This happy-go-lucky boy absolutely loves people and has never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a wagging tail, a bright smile, and the kind of enthusiasm that makes you feel like you've been friends forever. Ranger also enjoys the company of other playful dogs and is always ready for his next adventure. Like any true Husky, Ranger is intelligent, curious, and always up for learning—especially if treats are involved! He's highly food motivated, making training fun and rewarding. He'll thrive with a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and is committed to providing him with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and quality time. Because of his breed, Ranger is not recommended for a home with cats. His gorgeous double coat will also need regular brushing and occasional professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. What Ranger wants most isn't endless adventures—it's someone to share them with. After being our longest-term resident, this incredible boy deserves to know what it's like to have a family of his own. Every day he waits is another day without a couch to curl up on, a family to love, or a place to truly call home. We know his perfect people are out there... they just haven't met him yet. If you're interested in adopting Ranger or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday–Friday from 10 AM–4 PM. Ranger's adoption fee is just $100.
