Meet Raven If you had met Raven when she first arrived and met her again today, you might not believe she was the same dog. This extraordinary little girl is one of those rescue transformations that reminds us exactly why we do this. Raven came to us as part of a group of four after their owners were evicted and left them behind. She had previously been used for breeding, and when she arrived, she was one of the most fearful dogs we had seen. Everything about her told us she simply didn’t know yet that people could be safe. And then Raven discovered love. The frightened little dog began to disappear, and in her place emerged the sweetest, friendliest, bounciest little ray of sunshine. Now Raven greets her people with a huge happy smile and enough enthusiasm to make you wonder where she’s been hiding all that personality! Of the four dogs who came to us together, Raven has adjusted beautifully and seems determined to soak up every bit of happiness her new life has to offer. She has that unmistakably adorable long Doxie body and floppy ears—although those ears are just a tiny bit smaller than your standard Dachshund set, so we suspect there may be a little Chihuahua mixed in there too. Whatever her DNA says, we’re quite confident the final ingredient is 100% perfect.
