Meet Ravioli

Meet RAVIOLI, a gorgeous leggy young mixed breed boy looking for a home. Ravioli is pure joy, he's a 12 month old 36 pound pup who's just brimming with happiness. He was originally listed as a beagle mix. We suspect the "mix" part is some type of sighthound, probably a whippet. He has a slender high waisted body, but he's not skinny, you can't see any ribs or hip bones, a true sighthound body type, so we're going with a beagle/whippet mix as our best guess on breed. Ravioli is energetic and fast and loves to chase toys. He's a bouncy boy who needs a little work on his manners, but when the treat bag came out we learned his secret -- he already knows "sit" and "down". Somebody has done some work with Ravioli. We have no idea how this bright, engaging, affectionate boy landed in a rural shelter, but some lucky adopter is going to take home a gem of a dog. Ravioli is best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard for lots of playtime or with an active adopter who likes to run, hike, take long walks, etc. If you'd like to meet Ravioli, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Ravioli at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
