Meet Raymond

WATCH MY VIDEO...Raymond’s story could have ended very differently. This handsome brindle 3-year-old was found walking along I-95 by a Good Samaritan who brought him safely to us. We are incredibly grateful someone stopped to help him, because Raymond deserves the chance to discover what it means to have a safe and loving home. We don’t know what his life was like before he came to us, but our staff and volunteers have been spending time with Raymond and working with him regularly to help prepare him for a wonderful future. So far, we’ve discovered that Raymond seems to be potty trained, and he is definitely an explorer! He loves sniffing around and taking in everything happening around him. There’s a lot for this sweet boy to figure out, and you can almost see the wheels turning as he investigates his surroundings. Raymond will ask for pets, although right now he’s still figuring out this whole new world. The more comfortable he becomes, the more he seeks out affection. He also appears to know “sit,” which tells us that someone took the time to work with him at some point in his life. Raymond may need a little patience as he learns to trust and feel secure, but we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet dog he can be. Every day, he’s becoming a little more comfortable, a little more confident and a little more willing to ask for those pets. We’re hoping Raymond’s next chapter will be so much better than his last. After being found wandering along a dangerous highway, this sweet boy deserves a safe place to call home, someone who will give him time to settle in and, most importantly, a future filled with love. Raymond is ready for his second chance.
