Meet Reacher

Entry: Stray 8/30/26 Reacher is a 4 year old, 62lb, heart worm positive lab/bully mix who was found ABANDONED by his owner after moving from a rental property. He had a fantastic Paws Around the Pee Dee Blue’s Clues Adventure showing just how much this boy craves something so simple…PEOPLE. Reacher LOVES people. He gives hugs, cuddles, and will lay his big head right on your chest just to be close to you. He absolutely loves showing affection! He enjoyed walking around the city, and seeing his shelter buddies out having their own adventures. Reacher showed he can settle down beautifully once he's had a chance to take everything in. He'll sit, lay down and relax right beside you. He is still working on his leash manners but with some training and practice this smart boy will learn quickly. While relaxing and hanging out he took treats gently, and showed off his “sit” skills. Gentle, affectionate and well mannered, this boy is a gentle giant who loved the bath he got back at the shelter after his big day out. No surprise there as Reacher enjoys water and loves to splash in the kiddie pool during play groups. He’s truly a CHAMP! Reacher is dog friendly, he’s very polite and respectful meeting others in play groups. He got his name because he "reaches" through the kennel bars for volunteers, now he’s hoping he can reach someone's heart.
