Meet Reacher

Meet Reacher Reacher is a big boy with an even bigger heart! Reacher is one of the many dogs who came to PAC from West Alton, and his journey to safety wasn't easy. He was so fearful when he arrived that he had to be trapped in order to bring him to the shelter. When Reacher first got to PAC, he was extremely nervous and unsure of people and his surroundings. But with patience, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences from staff and volunteers, this handsome guy has made amazing progress in just a few short weeks! Reacher is coming out of his shell and showing everyone the sweet, gentle boy underneath those big muscles. Don't let his size fool you — he is oh-so-gentle. He's even started enjoying some canine company and recently joined playgroup with Otter! Reacher is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place, but every day he takes another step forward. And yes… his name is Reacher, just like the show. This big guy has already shown us how resilient he can be. Now he just needs someone willing to continue giving him the patience, love, and encouragement he needs to become the confident dog we know he can be. Reacher always shows up.
