Meet Reed

Hi, I'm Reed! I'm a FIDO Project dog- FIDO stands for Florida Inmates & Dog Obedience. I live inside our local men's prison so they can help me learn a few things that might help me find a home. Each FIDO class gets their own theme- ours is called, `The Fanstastic Fur.` I arrived at the shelter in June. A state park office called animal control and said there were three dogs wandering around in their parking lot. It was obvious to them we knew each other. No one ever came forward to claim me, and now here I am, hoping you'll look at me. If you know Huskies, then you know a lot about me already. I’m energetic, I like to be busy, stay engaged, and I’m always down for a run with you. Or a puzzle. Or a training session. Or an indepth conversation. Give me attention in almost any form. I want to experience life to the fullest. Looking for a quiet friend to binge watch your favorite shows with? Yeah, that’s not my dream life. I need a little more. If you’re active- let’s talk.
