Meet Reno

Reno is so very sweet and has been raised around children, other dogs, is active as most puppies are but he is a mixture of herding breed with lots of energy and poodle, both being very smart so he's willing to learn. He is not an alpha dog, he's pretty submissive and knows when to back down if someone doesn't want to play with him. He walks well on a leash, will pull a bit but will stop if you tell him to and walk more calmly. He needs another dog his size (medium size or larger) to play with and a privacy fence to run and potty in. However, he's actually an old soul in a puppy body since he was raised with old dogs and doesn't really seem like he wants to play. The boarding facility says he comes out of his kennel to go potty then wants to go right back into his kennel So I guess he doesn't require another dog to play with in actuality and would probably be a fine apartment dog as long as he was taken for walks for exercise and potty. He is house and crate trained but doesn't need to be crated all day, if at all possible. He is still a puppy so he could chew if very bored. Distraction is necessary, along with toys. He's fully vetted. You must have a recent vet reference listed on the application and your dogs must be altered, up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. I do contact your vet for the reference so the telephone number is necessary on the application. He is not a first time dog owner type dog. He requires a lot of grooming so a groomer is a requirement and he needs grooming now. He was born 12/25. He doesn't mind cats. He's maybe 40# right now and growing. He is not hypoallergenic.
