Meet Riley

Background: Riley came to rescue alongside her mom, Beans, and her three brothers after their owner sought assistance placing the puppies in loving homes. Raised with affection and excellent care from the very beginning, Riley is a happy, confident little girl. Personality: As the only girl in the litter, Riley has no trouble keeping up with her brothers. She loves people, toys, and discovering new things. Riley is the curious explorer of the family, always checking out what's happening around her. She combines her playful spirit with a soft, affectionate side and happily settles into your arms when it's time to relax. Health: Riley is approximately 7 weeks old and weighs about 5 to 6 pounds. We expect her adult size to be on the smaller side of 30 pounds. She is healthy, growing well, and preparing to begin her puppy vaccination schedule on 9/16. Training: As a young puppy, Riley is still learning the basics. She's making great progress with potty training in her foster home and is being introduced to the routines and expectations of life as a family dog. Like all puppies, she'll need continued guidance, consistency, and patience as she grows. Ongoing socialization, training classes, and positive reinforcement will help this curious little explorer become a confident and well-mannered adult. Ideal Home: Riley would love a family that appreciates her curious and adventurous personality. She'll thrive with people who can keep her engaged, continue her training, and make room on the couch for plenty of puppy cuddles. Like any puppy, she will do best with a family that understands the time, training, supervision, and socialization required during the first year of life. Adoption Requirements: We are currently accepting applications for foster-to-adopt! Terms of a foster-to-adopt agreement include taking them for their remaining shots and spay/neuter surgery at PAWS - The Modern Spay Neuter Clinic (Cave Creek & 101). • Week of 10/5: distemper/parvo booster • Week of 10/26: distemper/parvo booster, rabies, microchip, spay/neuter surgery These appointments are fully covered by the rescue. Ownership transfers to the adopter immediately following the final appointment. The adoption fee of $400 helps offset the cost of medical expenses.
