Meet Roosevelt

If being a stray in the right place at the right time were a real thing, it would be Roosevelt’s situation that would be the true definition of this- crossing a busy roadway all alone right in front of one of our Animal Control Officers, this guy comes to us as a stray. With no tag and no chip, there was no way to contact a family to come and get him, if he did have one. And remaining here on his stray hold as all strays are required to do, again, no family came for him. Roosevelt is now on the search for the family who would never have to, because they would make sure he is always safe and home with them… when we open for adoptions tomorrow! Since he’s been with us, he met a smaller spayed female and walked right up to his new friend with eager sniffs and enthusiastic greetings! She wasn’t his biggest fan because of his size vs. hers, so she gave a little growl to let him know. Did it bother him? NOT at all! This sweet guy just continued to show interest in his new friend, within her set boundaries! Smart fella! Come and meet this big handsome boy in person to see if he was meant to be your newest forever family member!! We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! We don’t have information on how he does with cats and no way to test for this. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting to adopt when you can fulfill that promise!
