Meet Rose

Rose is a 2-year-old female Pit Bull mix who may be stressed in her kennel, but the moment she comes out of the kennel building, it’s like someone flipped her personality switch to “Sweetheart Mode!” She is incredibly sweet, friendly, and affectionate and loves staying close to her people for pets and attention. Rose is a professional cuddle coordinator who likes to stick close by, making sure you always have someone nearby to pet. Give her a shady patch of grass, and she is perfectly happy to stretch out and relax. She knows how to enjoy the simple things in life! Rose met a stray cat around the shelter and was actually scared, choosing to slink away rather than chase it. She clearly did not sign up for any feline drama! Rose can be reactive toward other dogs when there is a barrier between them, so a meet and greet with other dogs in the home is recommended. Rose was surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her. Her previous owner reported that she was an outside dog, had basic obedience, was friendly, and did not try to escape. Rose is looking for someone who will give her the love, attention, and comfortable home she deserves. Once she’s out of the kennel, her sweet personality really shines.
