Meet Rusty

WELCOME TO KINDNESS MATTERS RESCUE RUSTY! Update 7/18.26-Rusty is now available for adoption and you would not even know he has a broken leg. Check our FB page for a video of him. (2) Facebook Update- Rusty has had surgery on his leg and is doing very well in his foster home. He should be ready for adoption in a few weeks. We want to introduce you to our newest intake Rusty. We intook Rusty from Somerset Dog Control because he needed our help due to injuries and neglect. Poor Rusty has a broken left foreleg, and is emaciated. He needs to gain about 1/3 of his body weight. His has a poor hair coat with multiple areas of hair loss and rubs. He tested positive for Lyme Disease exposure and has started treatment. Thankfully he tested negative for heartworms. Despite all these maladies and a broken leg, Rusty has been the sweetest, most thankful and gentle fellow. When I met him he struggled to stand on 3 legs to greet me. I think he sensed that this is the Start of A New Life! Never again will he be starved, neglected and in pain! Rusty has a ways to go before being ready for adoption but is off to a good start! Thank you to Donna Cook for stepping up to foster Rusty! Fostering truly saves lives.
