Scooby’s Story Is Just BeginningMeet Scooby—Learning to Trust, One Kiss at a Time Scooby came to the shelter very shy and shut down, unsure of people and overwhelmed by his new world. Since then, this gentle boy has come such a long way—and every little step forward feels like a victory. Scooby is still timid, and honestly, we don't think we've met the real Scooby yet. But we see glimpses. He desperately wants to trust. He'll cautiously come over to offer sweet kisses, and his leash walking has improved tremendously. He's treat motivated, knows “sit,” and is showing us every day that there's a loving dog waiting to blossom. Scooby doesn't need someone to rush him. He needs a patient adopter who will let him decompress, feel safe, and discover life at his own pace. Earning the trust of a dog like Scooby is something pretty special. And there's a bonus! Scooby shares his space with Puppers, the dog he arrived with. If you've been thinking one dog sounds wonderful but two sounds twice as fun, these boys might just be worth meeting together. Scooby has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. He's sharing his shelter suite with a friend he came to the shelter with. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
