Meet Scout

Meet Scout, a 6-month-old mixed breed puppy weighing around 35 pounds and the last of her litter still waiting for a forever home. She's smart, social, ridiculously happy, and has one very important passion in life: WATER. Seriously, Scout may be part fish. Her foster mom has never met a dog who loves water more, and Scout believes that her adorable little webbed feet were put on this earth for a reason. Swimming, splashing, playing in the water...if it involves getting wet, Scout is all in. She recently attended a Labor Day party where she got to spend plenty of time swimming, and it was basically the greatest day of her life. When she's not auditioning for the Olympic swim team, Scout is proving herself to be one impressive pup. She's pretty much completely potty trained, does wonderfully in her crate, and already knows sit, down, shake, and high five. She also has excellent recall, making her a fantastic companion for outdoor adventures. Scout is great with dogs of all shapes and sizes, cats, and kids. She's playful and energetic, so she'd love a family ready to include her in the fun, whether that means hiking, exploring, playing, swimming, or simply spending time outside together. And while she may be an active girl, she's got a sweet side too and is always happy to settle in for some love after a day well spent. Scout is the kind of dog who doesn't just want to live life. She wants to cannonball into it. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if she is 4 months or older. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
