Meet Shirley - ARR

Meet Shirley Shirley is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people and is happiest when she can enjoy plenty of snuggle time. She has a gentle, loving personality and enjoys a nice balance of relaxing on the couch and getting out for some fun. Walks are a favorite, and she especially loves spending time with other dogs at daycare and during play dates. Shirley gets along well with dogs, cats, and children over 8. She truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a home with another friendly dog, although it isn’t required as long as she has opportunities for regular play dates, daycare, or other doggie social time. She has a special fondness for other Cavaliers! Shirley appreciates polite canine friends and prefers dogs who respect her personal space rather than chasing her or getting too rambunctious. Shirley does very well with her housetraining when kept on a consistent schedule. A fenced yard is not required as long as she is kept safely on leash outdoors. Shirley loves her people and naturally misses them when they’re away, but she settles quickly. She also has an adorable dramatic streak—when she has something important to say, she may let out a distinctive little cry that her foster describes as sounding like a banshee! She’s also an excellent car companion and would be happy to join her family for adventures. Shirley’s ideal home will give her plenty of love and snuggle time, regular walks, and opportunities to socialize with canine friends. She would especially enjoy having another friendly dog in the home, but a family committed to giving her plenty of doggie interaction can be a wonderful fit, too. Most of all, Shirley is looking for people who want a loving companion to share their days, their couch, and their adventures. ❤️ Shirley’s adoption donation is $550 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, DHPP, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, and started on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Shirley has also had a dental cleaning.
