Meet Sissy - The Three Legged Sweetheart

Sweet Sissy is Blossoming! Sweet Sissy has come such a long way since arriving in her NJ foster home! After spending her first few days tucked safely in her crate, she quickly realized she was safe and let her silly, playful, affectionate personality shine. Sissy is doing wonderfully in the house and yard. She gets along great with the resident pups, is non-destructive when left alone, and hasn’t needed her crate since coming out of her shell. She’s the perfect mix of playful and calm—she loves her backyard zoomies and then happily curls up to relax. She’s housebroken, sleeps through the night, takes treats gently, and has shown no resource guarding. Her missing leg doesn’t slow her down at all! Sissy would love a home with another confident, friendly dog to help her continue building confidence, and a yard would be a wonderful bonus. Sissy is still working on feeling comfortable beyond her home. She happily heads out the front door in her harness, but can become overwhelmed once she gets farther from home. Her foster is patiently letting her explore at her own pace without pushing her too far. With time, patience, and positive encouragement, we’re hopeful she’ll continue gaining confidence. Because she can still be nervous around sudden loud noises and unpredictable movements, older, respectful children would be best. Sissy is a gentle, loving girl who has already made incredible progress and is ready for a patient home to help her continue to blossom. Sissy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500. - Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
