Meet Sky

Meet Sky, a beautiful 4 yr old pit bull terrier whose story will stay with you. Sky was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Louisiana in an incredibly emaciated condition. She was so thin that there was absolutely no indication that she could possibly be pregnant. Even when she gave birth just a few days later, you could not have looked at her and known that she was carrying puppies. Sky gave birth to two puppies, but sadly only one little boy survived. Sky and her puppy, Ridge, went into a foster home where they could both heal, grow and finally experience the love and care they deserved. They are both thriving now and Sky has proven herself to be an incredible and devoted mama. She is patient and attentive with her son and gracefully puts up with all of his puppy antics. As their foster could no longer keep them, Castle of Dreams has now stepped in to find them forever homes. Sky is a big, healthy girl with a big, healthy bark, which can be a little intimidating when you first meet her. But don't let that fool you, she's just a very vocal girl. Sky also makes the sweetest little moans and whines when she's happy or excited. Once you start petting her, the barking usually stops. She is a low-energy girl who is happiest just moseying around the house and plopping down in whatever room you're in. She loves to lounge, snuggle and be near her people. Give her a big comfy dog bed and she's in heaven. Sky loves attention from kids and anyone willing to give her some pets or let her hang out nearby and watch what they are doing. Every once in a while, Sky gets a little burst of playful energy and it is absolutely adorable to watch this big girl romp around with her toys, doing giant bunny hops. Sky is also cat friendly. After everything Sky has been through, she deserves a home where she can finally relax and just be a dog. No more worrying about surviving or taking care of anyone else. Just a soft bed, a family who loves her and a quiet life where she gets to be spoiled. Sky has been an amazing mama. Now it is her turn to be somebody's baby. Sky is spayed and will be microchipped and up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.
