Meet Slim Jim

Meet Slim Jim! Slim Jim is a smart, playful boy who is always ready for his next adventure. He loves playing fetch, going for walks, exploring new places, and soaking up plenty of belly rubs. Slim recently went home with a staff member for the evening and is truly amazing in the home. He is house and crate trained and just loved sitting on the couch watching TV with his human. He is super relaxed in the home and wants love. Like many dogs, Slim Jim can be a little stubborn from time to time, but treats and toys are excellent motivators. He enjoys learning and has made great progress with training. His life didn't start out easy. Slim Jim spent much of his early life with very little human interaction, so he had a lot to learn when he arrived at the rescue. Thanks to the dedication of a volunteer trainer and his own willingness to learn, he has come a long way in a short amount of time. Slim Jim is looking for an active home that will continue helping him build confidence and enjoy all the good things life has to offer. He can't wait to meet his forever family! Slim Jim might be able to live with other dogs, but it really needs to be a great fit. We hold meetings at the rescue, so we can always assess! He would do best with a playful dog around his size.
