Meet Smitty

Smitty – Easygoing, Smart, and Adventure-Ready Meet Smitty, a 5-year-old, 68-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix with a wonderful mix of curiosity, playfulness, and calm confidence. Wonderful Walking Buddy: Smitty usually walks nicely on leash, with occasional moderate pulling. On an outing to Lake Temescal, he stayed mostly on a loose leash and remained calm around people, dogs, wildlife, and loud traffic. Smart & Treat Motivated: This clever boy knows “sit” and “touch” and is learning “down.” He responds well to treat lures and redirection, takes treats gently, and loves putting his nose to work with treat-finding games. Playful & Curious: Smitty enjoys sniffing, exploring, tug, and plush toys. He’s happy to mix mental enrichment with a little playtime. Calm & Composed: He generally remains calm around dogs at a distance and ignored dogs and wildlife during his outing. He was easy to handle and relaxed in a busy outdoor environment. Smitty would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with well-matched canine friends.
