Meet Snoopy

Snoopy was starving - and somehow, he was still trying to protect someone else. When we found Snoopy at the shelter, he was painfully thin. Skin and bones. Scared. A dog who clearly had every reason to worry about himself. But Snoopy wasn’t focused on himself. He stood beside his kennel mate, quietly watching over them, as though his job was to make sure they were okay. That told us everything about his heart. And now that Snoopy knows he is safe, we are finally getting to see the dog underneath all that fear. He is pure love. Sweet as sugar. Affectionate. Playful. Happy. He loves every dog he meets and lights up when he gets the chance to play. The scared, painfully thin dog we met at the shelter is beginning to understand that people can be kind, food will keep coming, and he doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. Snoopy is only about 2 years old, a beautiful black-and-white pointer mix who should eventually weigh around 40–50 pounds. He has already survived the hardest part. Now he needs someone to give him the life he was supposed to have all along. A home. A soft bed. Another dog to play with. Someone to love him ridiculously.
