MEET SPIRIT Some dogs arrive at the shelter and we just know someone will come looking for them. That was exactly what we thought when Spirit arrived as a stray. Day after day, we waited for his family to appear. Sadly, no one ever did. Now this handsome 3-year-old Husky mix is waiting for a new chapter—and a family who will love him forever. Spirit is everything people adore about Huskies. He's energetic, intelligent, playful, affectionate, and full of personality. Whether he's enjoying his time in the yard, heading out for a walk, or making volunteers laugh with his goofy antics, Spirit approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. This sweet boy would thrive with an active family that enjoys outdoor adventures, daily walks, and plenty of playtime. A securely fenced yard would be a huge bonus, as Spirit has shown us that he possesses the classic Husky talent of being a bit of an escape artist! He'll need a home committed to keeping him safe, secure, and included in family activities. Spirit loves people and enjoys affection, but he can be a confident guy around other dogs and prefers to be in charge. If there are other furry family members in the home, we recommend a slow, experienced introduction to help set everyone up for success. What breaks our hearts is knowing that this wonderful boy is spending his days in a kennel when he should be out making memories with a family of his own. Spirit has so much love, loyalty, and laughter to offer. All he's missing is someone willing to give him a chance.
