Meet Stacks

Stacks is a male dog experiencing abnormal swelling of both forelimbs that has not responded to treatment. Despite receiving supportive and medical care, the swelling has persisted, raising concern for an underlying condition that requires further diagnostic evaluation and a higher level of veterinary care. Continued swelling can cause discomfort, impaired mobility, and additional complications if the underlying cause is not identified and addressed. This level of specialized diagnostic and medical care exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Stacks remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Stacks needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, appropriate diagnostic testing, and continued treatment to determine the underlying cause of the swelling and help restore his comfort, mobility, and quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
