Meet Stevie Girl 2026

STEVIE Girl is a lovely beagle looking for a home. She's about 3 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. Stevie is a sweet shy girl, she was soooo timid when she arrived but she's been gaining confidence in her foster home. She's turned into a toy hoarder -- she gathers all her fluffy friends around her bed and makes sure each one gets a little workout. Stevie loves her comfy bed and cuddling with the other dogs in her foster home. Her favorite time of day is mealtime, she does a happy dance when its time to eat. Stevie needs a home with a patient adopter who will take time to earn her trust. She needs another friendly dog who can help her navigate her new life and a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. Stevie is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Stevie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Stevie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
