Meet Stewart

Hi, I’m Stewart Little — and I may be small, but I have a BIG heart! At just 10 months old and 30 pounds, I’m the perfect little package of sweetness, silliness, and puppy charm. I was found running the streets of Pittsburgh, but thankfully my story took a wonderful turn when I landed in a shelter and my foster mom came to scoop me up. Now I’ve discovered something I absolutely LOVE… having a home and being with my people! I’m working hard on my “stay game” and learning an important lesson: when my humans leave, they always come back! I do experience some distress when I’m left completely alone, but my foster mom has been helping me build confidence, and I’m already making progress. I’ll need a patient adopter who is willing to continue that work and help me learn that being alone isn’t so scary. My dream home would have a predictable routine and someone who is home most of the day. And if there’s a confident dog looking for a little sidekick? Even better! I’d love a canine buddy to play with, learn from, and keep me company. When I’m not practicing my independence, I’m busy being a very good boy! I love going for walks and do great on a leash. I’m mostly housebroken and continuing to work on my potty skills. I’m kid-friendly, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and people-friendly — basically, I’m friendly with everyone! Just like my famous namesake, I’m looking for a place where a little guy like me can finally have his big adventure. I may be a Little, but I promise I’ll take up a BIG piece of your heart.
