Meet Sunny

I’m still figuring things out. Everything feels a little new and a little overwhelming right now, so I tend to hang back at first and watch. I’m not the kind of dog who rushes right up... I need a bit of time to understand that I’m safe and that you’re someone I can trust. But once I do? I really hold on to my people. I’ll stay close, follow you from room to room, and lean into you for comfort. Being near someone I trust helps me feel steady, like maybe the world isn’t so uncertain after all. Shelter life has been hard for me. The noise, the changes, the not knowing what comes next; it gets to my head sometimes. I’m trying my best, but I’d really do better somewhere calm, somewhere I can settle in and finally relax. I’m still building my confidence, one small step at a time. I just need someone patient who will show me the way and remind me that I’m okay. With consistency, reassurance, and a bit of training, I can learn. What I need most is someone willing to stick with me while I figure it out, because once I trust you, I’ll be yours completely.
