Meet Tater Tot

Adoption fee: $800 Tater Tot 1–2 years old | 24 lbs | French Bulldog A Little Tot of Sweetness Tater Tot, or TT to her foster family, came to DPS from a shelter and promptly earned a new nickname: Sweetie Pie. She’s affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when she can climb into your lap, rest her head on your chest, and gaze up at you. She’s been gentle and mellow since her first day in foster care, and her family absolutely adores her. Play a Little, Nap a Lot TT eats breakfast around 8 a.m. and dinner around 5 p.m. She goes outside when she wakes up, uses the dog door throughout the day, and fills the hours with naps and a few play sessions with her foster family’s Frenchie. The two get along beautifully: TT enjoys playing with him and respects his space when he’s ready for a break. She’ll join you for fun when the mood strikes or happily settle in for a quiet day. She walks nicely on leash without reacting to people or dogs. At night, she sleeps peacefully in the living room; she also did well sleeping in a pen when she first arrived. An Easy Companion Tater Tot loves being near her people, but she can also relax on her own. She rarely barks, doesn’t chew or dig, and was cooperative for her bath. She hasn’t been left alone often without her foster dog companion, so her foster family can’t yet say how she’d do as the only dog. TT has sensitive skin. She needs a gentle, unscented dog shampoo. The Practical Stuff Tater Tot uses a dog door but still has occasional accidents, so she’ll need patience and a consistent routine to finish housetraining. She seems familiar with potty pads and was comfortable wearing a diaper while in heat. As a Frenchie, TT also needs adopters prepared for the breed’s typical health needs and potential veterinary expenses, including attention to breathing, heat tolerance, and skin care. For someone ready for those responsibilities, Tater Tot offers an enormous amount of love in a 24-pound package. Why You Should Adopt Tater Tot In the words of her foster family: She is not a chewer, digger, or barker. She is very easy going, agreeable, and pleasant. I can’t stress enough what a beautiful temperament, personality, and disposition she has. Tater Tot or TT as we affectionately call her is a doll.
