Meet Thor! Thor is a 2-year-old neutered Boxer/Pointer mix with a gentle soul, an adventurous spirit, and so much potential waiting to shine. Thor may not always show his best self behind kennel doors, but that’s not the real Thor. The shelter environment can be stressful for him, and he simply needs a fair chance to meet people outside of his kennel. With a calm approach, slow and proper introductions, and a few tasty treats, Thor warms up beautifully and begins to show his affectionate, playful personality. Thor is a high-energy explorer who loves long walks, hikes, and even hunting for lizards. He also enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown that he can be playful with both big and little dogs when introduced properly. Thor is ready for his next chapter and is looking for an active, patient family who will give him the time he needs to build trust and feel comfortable. He doesn’t need someone to rush him—he needs someone willing to give him a fair chance to show you who he really is. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy who can keep up on a hike, make you laugh while hunting for lizards, and then show you his affectionate side, Thor is ready to meet you.
