Meet Timone

Timone is a 1½-year-old Pit Bull/Shepherd mix with a sensitive soul who is looking for a fresh start. He was surrendered because of concerns about "aggression," but since coming into our care, Timone has shown us a very different story—one of a young dog who is fearful, overwhelmed, and still learning how to feel safe. His previous life included spending a lot of time in a crate, and the busy environment of a home with children may have been more than he could comfortably handle. When Timone feels uncertain, his first instinct is to worry, not to cause trouble. With patience and kindness, Timone has shown that he wants to connect with people. He benefits from a calm, predictable environment where he can build confidence at his own pace. Once he feels secure, his sweet and gentle nature begins to shine through. Timone is looking for an adopter who understands that scared dogs need time, not pressure. A quieter home and positive reinforcement training will help him continue to grow into the loyal companion he's meant to be. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
