TOVA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!Come meet Tova and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (8/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)! Name: Tova Best Guess for Breed: Schnauzer and terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 26 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! She isn't recommended for homes with cats because she will bark at them. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Tova is Looking For: Her forever home! Tova is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She did an amazing job raising her babies Tux, Tiny, Tyna, Tilly, Travis, Troy & Trixie and they all are off to get their own homes. Tova is in her prime as a young dog and hasn't seen enough of the world - she's eager to get her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures her family can dream up. Making pup pals along the way would be great, as would going to dog school so she can show how super smart she is. Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved all her days. In exchange she promises so much love and loyalty. What do you say?
