Meet Trixie

Hi I'm Trixie! I am a German Shepherd with the perfect mix of adventure buddy and calm companion. I absolutely love car rides and I was ready to hop in the moment the door opened. During a 40-minute ride, I simply settled in and relaxed the whole way like a seasoned road-trip pro. Out and about, I walk nicely on leash without pulling. I am interested in meeting other dogs, and am easy to redirect if they are not ready to meet me. I stay calm even around strangers with a small dogs nearby—no barking, growling, whining, or fussing. I'm as cool as a cucumber. My true German Shepherd personality comes out when the tennis ball appears! I LOVE to play and I have that determined shepherd drive. If you’re taking too long to throw the ball again, don’t worry—I’ll happily drop it in your lap or throw myself in your lap to remind you. After playtime, I know how to chill. During breaks, I calmly laid at my person’s feet on a day trip. I was even comfortable enough to stay with a stranger while her handler ordered food, quietly lying at his feet and leaning against his legs. I am playful, affectionate, confident, and ready for someone who wants a loyal companion for car rides, adventures, games of fetch, and plenty of relaxing together afterward.
