Meet Turk

Turk came to us alongside who we believe to be his brother, J.D., and we have truly loved getting to know this sweet boy better. Turk has the softest, sweetest wiggles, the kindest eyes, and a gentle, submissive personality that makes him incredibly endearing. Though he can be a little shy at first, Turk is very friendly and tends to warm up quickly to new people. He may just need a few words of encouragement when he encounters something new, but with a little patience and reassurance, his sweet personality shines through. Turk is always happy to see his brother, J.D., and has shown a friendly demeanor when meeting other dogs, too. His gentle, submissive nature carries over into his dog meet-and-greets. We are happy to accommodate a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption if needed. We would describe Turk as a medium-energy guy. He loves spending time outdoors and hardly ever says no to a stuffy, but if you really want to make him happy, just offer him some scratches and belly rubs! Turk also appears to be potty trained, as he keeps his space nice and clean. He walks well on leash and knows the cue “sit.” Turk will need some time to decompress, settle in, and adjust to the routines of his new home. With gentle guidance, patience, and a little encouragement, we know this sweet boy will continue to learn and thrive. Turk is such a kind soul, and we would love nothing more than to see him find a home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family.
