Meet Victor

Victor is a very loving, sweet, young (a little over 1 year) shepherd mix with soulful brown eyes who had a difficult start in life. Now he is looking for a loving family to call his own. He showed up as a stray on someone’s deck 4 months ago. In the short time he was with the family, he absolutely adored the resident dogs and the family, loved to play fetch and have zoomie contests with the dogs, and had wonderful manners. But due to time and financial constraints the family had to give him to the Morgan County KY animal shelter. He's currently taking part in a daily Correctional Facility Obedience Training Class and will come fully trained! (this is a specialized dog training program done in partnership with 4 Paws for Ability, https://www.4pawsforability.org/ The program focuses on basic obedience, socialization, and specialized tasks). He is smart as a whip, has excellent recall, is eager to please, and is extremely food-motivated. He is house and crate trained. He absolutely loves other dogs and is the perfect mix of playful and submissive. He is very unproblematic and respectful. Victor will thrive with a loving and active family or person who has time to give him structure, playtime and guidance so that he can blossom into the devoted, lifetime companion dog that he is destined to be. Victor is ready to share life’s joys and adventures with the right family or person, could that be you? Cats and young children are an unknown. Victor is currently in West Liberty, Kentucky but transport can be provided.
