Meet Violet

Meet Violet! She's a sweet, gentle Great Pyrenees mix puppy. At 3 months old she weighs 30lbs, so we expect her to be in the 90lb range when fully grown. When Violet came into SPIN Rescue she had to be shaved due to burs and mats, but her soft fluffy coat will soon return to its full glory. Violet was found as a stray with her mom and siblings in rural Texas hiding under porches to get out of the heat before coming into rescue. Violet can be a little shy and cautious at first but warms up with patience and affection. She is comfortable around kids and babies, making her a wonderful addition to a family home. She would do well with seniors as well given her adaptable temperament. She is goofy and will jump in your lap when she wants attention and pets. She is good with dogs and cats. She loves to snuggle up and play with her siblings. She also loves a good chew toy. She must have a dog in her home to play and teach manners. Violet is crate trained, almost fully potty trained, and does well in the car although she occasionally gets car sick. She is apartment appropriate as long as she gets daily walks. She is overall quiet and not much of a barker. Violet is ready to leave her rough past behind and become a cherished family member. She is available for pre-adoption and can go home with a family starting August 11th. She will be spayed and fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300. Violet is currently in a foster home in DFW area, Texas. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging their own transport.
