Meet Violet

Meet Violet! This adorable black-and-white pup is about 5–6 months old and weighs 25 pounds, and she is one seriously sweet girl! Violet loves people, puppy kisses, and climbing right into your lap for some affection. Violet spent two long months in a shelter, so she is SO happy to finally be in a foster home where she can relax, feel safe, and learn what it’s like to be a puppy. She’s doing great in her foster home and has been a wonderful girl! Violet is great with other dogs and has also been very respectful around the cat in her foster home — she recently walked right past the cat without bothering her at all! She has plenty of terrier-type energy and loves to chew, but she isn’t particularly prey-driven like some terriers can be. She is also good in the car and is doing just fine being left alone in the kitchen. She isn’t barking when left alone, which is a great start! She can be a little jumpy when excited, so very young children may find her enthusiasm a bit overwhelming. But she's amazing with kids! Like any young puppy, Violet is still learning her house manners and housebreaking, so her forever family will need to continue working with her and give her some patience as she learns. She’s a smart, happy girl who is eager to learn and ready to keep making progress! After spending so much time in a shelter, Violet is thrilled to be experiencing all the good things about life in a home — comfy beds, love, playtime, car rides, dog friends, and plenty of attention.
