Meet Volt

Meet Volt! Volt is a sweet, playful boy who is still gaining confidence and settling into the good life. He can be a little skittish at first, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate personality really starts to shine. He loves being around his people and can often be found lying by the gate, happily watching his foster family go about their day. Volt plays really well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to romp around with. He has not been around children, so we don’t know how he would do with them just yet. He has done wonderfully with potty habits in his foster home and has not had any accidents, although he currently has access to a doggie door whenever he needs to go outside. He is also okay in a crate. Volt hasn’t had much leash experience yet because his foster home has a large yard where he gets plenty of room to play and explore. He will need a family willing to help him learn that skill as he adjusts to his new home. Food is definitely exciting for Volt! He can be very eager when taking treats and likes to push his way to the front at mealtime, but he is already learning some manners. When gently redirected and told to wait, he will back off and wait his turn. He isn’t trying to be naughty. He’s simply an enthusiastic young guy who is still learning. Volt is a real sweetheart with a fun, playful personality. With a little patience, consistency, and plenty of love, he is going to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
