Meet Whiskey

Whiskey is a smart, spunky, and sweet young cattle dog mix who is learning confidence and social skills after an early puppyhood without many opportunities to develop either. She is now over a year old and is living with a foster family that has other dogs and cats. She worked with a trainer for several months to learn leash skills, become more confident in new situations, and enjoy life to the fullest. She is crate trained, potty trained; knows sit, down, and stay; has a good recall and pretty decent leash manners; and showed some aptitude for scent work. She is fearful in new situations but we are trying to introduce her to new people in low stress situations. She loves playing with friendly dogs. Whiskey is still building confidence and needs a loving but firm handler who willing to continue working with her. We offer four free training sessions to local adopters with the trainer who knows her. Whiskey is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She will reward the right owner with her trust and a lifetime of loyalty.
