Meet Winston

Winston is a handsome 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet, loving boy is ready to find a family that will give him all the love he's been waiting for. Winston is incredibly social and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, chickens, and even ducks! His easygoing personality makes him a great fit for a variety of homes. He's also house trained and crate trained. His foster leaves his crate door open, and Winston happily chooses where he'd like to nap—whether that's inside his crate, on a cozy dog bed, or stretched out on the rug. He's a trustworthy boy who enjoys having the freedom to relax wherever he's most comfortable. Winston loves to stretch his legs and would thrive with a family that has a fenced yard to explore or enjoys daily walks, runs, or outdoor adventures. After he's had a chance to burn off some energy, he's more than happy to soak up attention and affection from his favorite people. While Winston hasn't spent much time around children, he's been gentle and well-mannered during the interactions he's had. He's even done well meeting his foster's 4-month-old baby, showing calm curiosity. As with any dog, introductions should always be supervised, but Winston has made a wonderful first impression.
